Expertise in: Thermomechanical engineering and color physics
Principal Scientist - Physics
Lee is the senior physicist specializing in colorimetry and color physics, thermal physics, thermomechanical and materials physics, mechanical engineering and gas adsorption techniques for pore and surface area characterization.
Lee holds a BSc (Hons) (Staffordshire University) – Physics with Nuclear and Particle Physics and an MSc (Birmingham University) – Medical and Radiation Physics. Prior to joining Lucideon in 2008 in the role of physicist, Lee was a postgraduate research student at Birmingham University in radiation physics and dosimetry, in the field of dose enhancement modelling of coupling background radiation interactions with inhaled depleted uranium in lung tissue, as part of an international research group.
Other responsibilities include UKAS accreditation of physical testing and colorimetry methods, FDA 510K clearance requirements, in-house physical testing method development, mathematical methods, statistical methods and uncertainty analysis (GUM and Monte Carlo). Lee works on materials applications in a range of sectors including Aerospace, Refractory and Insulation Engineering, Medical Devices, Healthcare, Construction and the Nuclear industry.
