Chemical Analysis
In our extensive and well equipped laboratories, chemical analysis is conducted to:
- Identify unknown materials (debris found in processing equipment (i.e. generators), unidentified raw stock for turbine hardware manufacture, determine the alloy composition of a component that requires repair, contaminants in resins, verify weld/braze materials used)
- Verification of composition (qualify vendors, spot checks on suppliers, verify information on drawings, meet specification, industry and regulatory requirements, “first piece” and “lot” qualifications, support processing troubleshooting and failure investigations of turbine hardware and insulation systems)
- Determine reaction and processing results - identify reaction products, determine if processing has changed the chemistry or surface properties.
