Development Microbiologist
Karen has a BSC in Microbiology from the University of Sheffield and an MSC in Medical Mycology from the University of Manchester. She is a member of the Royal Society of Biology (MRSB).
Karen has experience in all aspects of Pharmaceutical Microbiology including sterility, MLT, endotoxin and microbial identification. Karen’s role at Lucideon is Development Microbiologist and her main focus is driving and implementing Client Microbiology projects. Karen will also support the work of the Microbiologists in the Pharmaceutical Division with any Quality and Microbiology general enquiries.
Karen has participated in numerous client and MHRA regulatory inspections.
Before joining Lucideon, Karen worked as the General Manager at a Pharmaceutical Microbiology Contract Laboratory where she managed all aspects of the site covering the overall activity of microbiological testing and QA & site safety requirements. Prior to this post, Karen has also worked for a Contract Research Organization (in both food and pharmaceutical sectors), the HSE and the University of Manchester.
