21 October 2021 MaterialsMatrix Online Panel: Breaking the Wheel: How Additive Manufacturing is Revolutionizing Ceramics
Along with extensive research on additive manufacturing of polymers and metals, fabricating ceramic components using these techniques is the latest trend to come under the spotlight. Ceramic additive manufacturing is an approach suitable for the era of multiple low-volume because of its higher level of flexibility compared to conventional methods for shape complexity and design modification. However, there are still some barriers to practical use due to the AM process speed, defects, and last but not least lack of knowledge.
The panellists explored Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics by analysis of different technologies in this field. You will learn about potential opportunities, suitability of various ceramic materials and also about current challenges within this area of AM.
A recording of this panel event is available via the link below (you will need to register on the site to view the recording, but registration is free)
