Sean graduated from Staffordshire University in 1987 with a Joint honours degree in Ceramic Technology and Chemistry. He completed his Professional Diploma in Marketing at Cauldon College in 2004.

He began his professional career carrying out Research and Development on Inorganic pigments for the ceramics industry. He later became involved in the development of unleaded glazes.

Sean then began to work in the field of glass-ceramics and became involved in Business Development and Marketing.
