He directs physical tests on a variety of engineered plastics, metals and ceramics. These materials are used in diverse industries such as power generation, bio-technology, medical, automotive & aerospace. During his years away from Lucideon, Bob worked as a design engineer of rotating equipment in the power generation industry. There he applied the six-sigma method to generator sub-assembly shop processes, authored design practices, formulated process specifications and provided solutions for rotating equipment suffering from site-related vibration problems.

Bob holds a PhD. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and he is also a member of ASME.
